This text above is an archive from the ancient scrolls. Before I branched WOYB (this, my premier effort in authoring with WordPress) from a private web log/ focus on personal reflections, to begin writing instead from the 1st-person point-of-view, to a more reader-friendly, public forum; a body of work predetermined to maintain a set of notes which would reflect something substantive/ a reflection of the learning process, as I developed skills in coding proper Web Standards compliant HTML / CSS / JavaScript (or, Asynchronous JavaScript and XML: Ajax)/ PHP / ColdFusion, Regular Expressions/ Graphic Design and Integrated Development Environment software. The technical data described in the latter is that which became well known as NoviceNotes™ | the web site, NoviceNotes.net .

Reflecting upon this, and other early WhatsOnYourBrain.com articles-- distinguishable from the greater WhatsOnYourBrain™ collection, which ultimately evolved into an exercise in creative writing and has continued to evolve as a creative outlet since, now established as such for several years, it was not the case at its inception.

This was your author’s first experience outside of home-baked HTML / PHP programming, whereby I conceded to use 3rd-party software (Eg. WordPress web log content management system), vs facing the challenge to develop my own web log from the ground-up, using my own source code as (believe it or not, it was my goal; my intent to author the supporting code for a primitive web log) a means of self-education; coding-in-practice, and also-- In retrospect-- I believe I had succumbed to a bit of the so-called NIH Syndrome{*1}, whereby, perhaps I'd felt over-confident in my apparent wherewithal of PHP (e.g. examples, tutorials, etc., had become rather elementary to me, it seemed), supported by countless hours of dedicated studies primarily for a broader range of dynamic topics-- particularly those of a technical nature, multi-dimensional unto which i've endured so much pseudo-metamorphosis ( for the hobnobbing, as prophesied to be true )!

In other words, check, instead www.NoviceNotes.com

<def>Not Invented Here Syndrome</def>. I recommend the reader Duck-Duck-Go-for it, to gain a better understanding of this modern-day programmers’ colloquial rhetoric. Context depending, the term is not uncommon.
